Trend Micro has launched a new security suite that it claims is compatible with Windows 7.
The company claims that the new Internet Security 2010 product will be easier to use, will require fewer resources than previous versions, and will work faster.
David Peterson the Consumer Director for New Zealand and Australia of Trend Micro said that the new suite will be able to offer a wide array of products that can provide customers with comprehensive security that is easy to install and works in an efficient manner.
Some of the new features that are included in the new Security Suite are a Home Security Network Security Management function, which allows users to graph the other computers that are included in their home network to identify wireless intruders who may be trying to hack in, and a new state aware software that ensures the software only updates while users are not busy using the computer.
Also improved in the Trend Micro suite is the Security Activity Dashboard so that now users will be able to see a quick snapshot of all the security activities that are active on the computer.
The snapshot is simplified through graphs and charts so that users can understand what is going on.
The main aim of the security suite is to protect computers from malware without leaving behind the same footprint that most anti-virus software leaves.
This will allow most computers to run faster than they normally do.
The system requires 20% less hard drive space than the previous model and uses about 30% less memory than past versions.
