Channel 4 signs up with Arqiva

Kangaroo is definitely bouncing back with a vengeance now that Arqiva has confirmed that it has completed a deal to acquire the technology that would have powered the joint venture between the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Five.

According to the Daily Telegraph, it seems that it is full steam ahead too when it comes to acquiring content, as Channel 4 has announced that it has signed a content deal with Arqiva, which will mean that Channel 4 content will be available on demand.

Arqiva still has a long way to go, as this technology has to be integrated into a working model that will allow users in the UK to access the video on demand content.

While ITV and the BBC have been searching for platforms from which content can reach the end user, such as Hulu and Blinkbox, this is the first platform that Channel 4 has chosen to syndicate its programming on.
