Tilgin updates software for remote STB management
by David Allen
Stockholm-based Tilgin, which provides IP-based solutions for advanced Triple Play and IMS-based services, has launched an updated version of its service and device management software.
VCM 5.6 allows cable operators to remotely manage IPTV set-top boxes.
Operators can use the software to remotely manage their entire IPTV offering, following Broadband Forum standards.
The update also improves VCM’s performance, giving it a carrier-grade failover mechanism.
”VCM customers claim VCM to be the most easy to use and integrate of all ACS systems on the market,” said Eric Hjelmestam, Tilgin’s vice president of product management.
“In collaboration with our customers and with active involvement in Broadband Forum we continue to add VCM features for the most advanced market requirements”
