A month after LG announced that streaming movie by Vudu would be added to its NetCast services, users are now able to access the service with just a simple update.
In order to get the streaming movie service, users simply have to follow the upgrade instructions and re-boot their televisions, after which a new Vudu icon will appear on the screen.
Any LG HDTV that is connected to the internet can access the new service.
Prior to the integration, the Vudu service was only available on the exclusive Vudu set-top box.
The new services will be available on the PS80 plasma 11080p series televisions and the LG LH50 1080p LCD series.
As a free trial to entice users to access the new Vudu service, the company is allowing users to view their first HDX or HD movie for free.
Other streaming services that are offered on LG’s HDTV include YahooWidgets, Netflix, and YouTube.
