
The Berlin IFA Consumer Electronics Trade Show brought a host of announcements from Toshiba, including new details of the company’s first stab at a standalone Blu-ray laptop and Blu-ray player.
Toshiba announced a host of products, including the BDX2000 Blu-ray, a player which is able to not only standalone but also offer sconsumers full support for 1080p/24fps playback, spectacular image quality, and BD-Live.
Also on the line up was a Satellite P500 multimedia laptop that will integrate a fully defined HD playback and support system alongside an 18.4” Satellite P500.
The company also introduced an upgraded DVD player with better detail enhancement, titled the XD-E600 DVD player which offers HD 1080p picture quality on most standard DVDs.
Also announced was a new host of Camileo HD digital camcorders including models S20, X100, and H30 which all have HD resolutions of 1920 x 1080p.
The S20 model in particular will market as one of the thinnest HD camcorders on the market across the globe.
Toshiba also is set to launch the first LED backlit LCD TV model which is the most advanced LCD TVF model from the company available in the UK currently.
Rounding up the list of Toshiba products from the IFA is the Journe Touch, which is a mobile internet multimedia touch screen phone that allows users to surf the internet while moving throughout their home.
From the mobile, users can browse, stream music, and download and share pictures and video.
Details on new 3D HD television sets were also introduced at the IFA last week from electronic companies Panasonic, Sony, and LG.
With Sky beginning to broadcast in 3D and the potential for 3D to become more frequent in films in the future it is quite possible that 3D television sets in the home will become popular in the future.
