There is a growing demand from the younger users of the internet for help and advice on how to keep their personal details safe online.

According to the regulator Ofcom, in a survey of youngsters aged between eleven and sixteen it was found that fifty four per cent needed some sort help or advice on keeping personal data that they store online safe and private.

Almost a quarter of children in that age group state that they have never been spoken to about online safety issues.

This means that many youngsters are now worried about web content, passwords, PIN numbers and even cyberbullying.

Recent reports have shown that many broadband users are putting their jobs and online security at risk, simply because of the data that is shared on social networking sites.

For youngsters in the future this could be a serious issue.
