Businesses and households in the centre of Norwich could soon be getting online by connecting to a new wireless broadband service.
This is nothing new for the city, as a couple of years ago Norwich was part of a two year wireless trial being run by Wi-Fi Norfolk Open Link, but unfortunately for those users of the service it closed down last year.
The network used small aerials that were attached to lamp posts to offer free broadband within the area covered by the network.
Now it seems that Babcock International is interested in setting up a similar service and, if all goes according to plan, broadband users of Norwich will be able to access the internet once more, although it is not known yet whether the service will be free or not.
