LG Launches GW620 Android Phone

Darren Allan

A new manufacturer has joined the Android smartphone fold, as LG has announced the launch of its GW620.

The phone will debut in the fourth quarter in selected parts of Europe, and with the codename “Etna” it would seem the company is hoping for an explosive entrance into the Android arena.

While the GW620′s full specification isn’t yet available, LG has revealed that the device will have a slide out QWERTY keyboard and a 3 inch touchscreen display.

It will also boast a 5 megapixel camera, and will offer the full range of Google services as you’d expect.

LG says that it is committed to offering a diverse range of smartphone models, and this Android based effort is one of many new launches planned.

The company is set to release several Windows Mobile smartphones in the near future.

No pricing details on the GW620 have been made available yet.
