TVium for large scale IPTV shows

The largest video distributor commercially across Europe, Image Group Plc, has partnered with Breeze Technologies in order to create the first TVium TR-100.

The TVium is capable of recording and displaying both radio and digital TV from a DVB-T feed using TV over IP distribution channels.

It is part of a new range of Imago Group’s second generation TV gateways and was manufactured to meet the IPTV demands in stadiums, hospitals, hotels, and universities.

The new TVium is able to process up to 100 streams of radio and TV while also distributing encrypted channels via the use of CAM module hosting.

For example, within the UK the service allows for DTT/Freeview to be offered on six different screens that combine to offer 24 radio channels and 48 TV channels.

Users who have the TVium service will enjoy automatic scans of all of the potential broadcasting channels so that they receive the best streaming available on a network, while also receiving remote access to the streams on a PC.

Additionally, iPTV integration with service is even easier since channel and programs can be switched from within the Electronic Program Guide with relative ease.

TVium will soon be available to customers throughout the Europe viewing area, reaching into areas in Africa and China as well.

Imago also announced that it partnered with Peak Networks in order to provide better audio and video conference calls that are completed over IP networks.
