Visaat Broadcasting, a pay- and free-TV provider in the Baltic States and Scandinavia has decided to go with its current partner Pace to provide second generation set-top-boxes to its consumers.
While the company is looking to boost its portfolio across its customer area, the new Pace TDS855NV hybrid HD PVR so will offer more advanced services to consumers.
At the same time the company is hoping to provide them with easier content management and a better viewing experience.
Due to the fact that the new set top box will have hybrid functionality, it will allow users to access a larger group of programming channels while also giving them increased personal choice over what they want from their TV content provider.
Pace plc has been providing set top technology to Visaat since January of 2009 when it supplied the company with its first HD PVR.
The newest model, the TDS855NV will allow over 40 hours of new content to be stored compared with previous models while still being much more compact and smaller.
The TDS855NV also offers users the option to record about 160 hours of standard definition programming, or 80 hours of HD, while utilising DVB-S2 tuners so that users can watch content in whichever manner they desire and get the most out of their recording time.
Visaat Broadcasting has also been able to offer its customers an extended amount of time to watch the UEFA Champions League after purchasing the rights to the programming in Lithuania, Estonia, and Latvia.
