Virgin Media customers in Leeds hit with problems

It seems that all was not well with the Virgin Media broadband network over a period of days according to the register.co.uk, with Leeds in the North East of the UK suffering from connection problems with the broadband, TV and phone service.

The problems started over the weekend and it seems that they were not restricted to Leeds, but have been affecting different parts of the UK.

It looks as if the problem caught Virgin Media unawares too, as the provider posted a status update saying that it is working on the matter as a priority and re-routing traffic wherever it becomes practical.

The cable provider has been asking customers still experiencing problems to provide a trace route number that is used to trouble shoot problems.
