Origin Storage, the storage systems integration specialist, announced today that it has made it onto the Tech Track 100 league table as a key player in the IT business.
Origin has been ranked 73rd out of the fastest growing technology companies in the UK, according to the prestigious Tech Track league table.
The Tech Track 100 is an independent league table that ranks the top-performing privately held technology companies, based on sales growth over the last three years.
Now in its ninth year, the Tech Track 100 list was announced in The Sunday Times, published on 20th September.
Origin Storage’s position was awarded after its sales soared in recent years and the company has opened an office in the Netherlands as a direct result.
Andy Cordial, Origin’s managing director, said that, “to be recognised as a key player in the UK’s IT industry – especially given our specialist nature – is fantastic news for us and a reflection of the growing demand for storage technology.”
Origin will be exhibiting its award winning line up at Storage Expo which is held at London Olympia on 14th and 15th Oct www.storage-expo.com.
“Earlier this month we were appointed as a master distributor for Battery Technology, Inc (BTI) batteries and power adapters, a company that supplies batteries and adapters for all the major OEM laptop brands,” he said.
“In June of this year, we renewed our sponsorship of the women’s British Bobsleigh team. The sponsorship deal will run until the end of the season which will see them through the winter Olympics in Canada,” he added.
According to Cordial, the continued innovation and diversification by his company and its ability to sponsor the women’s British Bobsleigh team is indicative of a vibrant and successful company in what is a very buoyant business IT sector.
“We are extremely pleased to make it into the Sunday Times top 100 technology companies list. The current economic conditions have been tough for many businesses, but we are experiencing one of our best years yet,” he said.
The Tech Track league table is compiled by Fast Track (www.fasttrack.co.uk) and is published in The Sunday Times each September. Other top 100 companies have included The Cloud, the public access WiFi service, and Lovefilm.com, the Internet movie rental business.
