Publisher Deep Silver has confirmed that while role-playing game Risen is to be delayed until 2010 in the States on the X360 format, it will be released at the same time as the PC version in the UK, on October 2nd.
Developed by Piranha Bytes, the team behind the famous Gothic RPG series, Risen will be set on a huge volcanic Mediterranean style island with a rich mythology of its own.
The plot is spread over four chapters, and it will unfold differently depending on the player’s actions. The central philosophy of the game is to create a world that feels alive, and responds to every decision the player makes.
An innovative and intuitive interface is also promised, not to mention some serious talent working on the voice-overs (The Inquisitor character will be voiced by Andy Serkis, best known as Gollum from the Lord of the Rings films).
