T-Com Slovakia has embarked on the roll-out of its IPTV service, Magio TV, to remote areas of the country, following the deployment of special miniDSLAM equipment.

This has brought the Magio TV and internet service to 75,000 more homes.

Hungary could be about to gain a fourth IPTV service, with ISP, Interware Internet Szolgáltató, getting ready to launch IPTV over Magyar Telekom’s fixed-line network.

The service is expected to offer over 80 channels, five of them in HD, and an online movie rental service.

Developments are also underway in Greece, where telco OTE is expanding its Conn-x IPTV service to 33 cities.

The latest cities to receive the service are Grevena, Ioannina, Corfu and Preveza.
