LG GW300 social networking phone announced

LG has revealed details of its new GW300, a handset designed with social networking in mind.

The GW300 comes with a full Qwerty keyboard and a 2.4 inch screen on which you can play around with the built-in Facebook application. A 2 megapixel camera is also on board.

“It didn’t come as a surprise last week that Facebook announced its user number now totals 300 million, as the mobile industry is continuing to experience consumer demand for social networking focused devices,” commented LG Mobile UK’s Head of Marketing, Jeremy Newing.

“The new LG GW300 maintains LG’s dedication to bringing innovative social networking handsets to the market as they increasingly become the central communication point for avid social network users.”

The phone will be available on both Orange and O2, although there’s no indication yet of when it will arrive on the shelves.
