LG GD510 touchscreen phone arrives in October

LG has unveiled a new phone, the GD510, which the company is billing as an easy to use streamlined and stylish touchscreen affair.

Also known as the Pop, the phone boasts a 3 inch touchscreen, a 3 megapixel camera, 8GB of memory and a user friendly browser and media player.

No other specifications or details have been released, save for the fact that the GD510 features a brushed aluminium finish for a high-end appearance.

Dr. Skott Ahn, President and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company commented: “We gave the LG GD510 an optimized feature set which allowed us to concentrate on making the phone more compact and simpler to use.”

“Our high-end phones like the Black Label Series New LG Chocolate BL40 may be getting all the attention but there’s a gap in the market for affordable touchscreen phones that we want to fill. The LG GD510 delivers all the essentials in communication, multimedia and entertainment and comes in a compact form factor as well.”

Perhaps most interestingly for the green minded amongst you, according to T3 the GD510 will have an optional interchangeable back panel (costing £30) which is actually a solar panel. A pretty neat electricity saving idea when it comes to charging your mobile.

The LG GD510 will be available from the middle of October.
