Flumotion allows football fans to pause live games

Aragón Televisión is using innovative streaming technology from Flumotion which will allow viewers to pause live football games, ensuring that they do not miss a second of the action.

The feature will be introduced for live transmission of UEFA Champions’ League games.

Fans will be able to watch the games from any broadband connection.

After using the new pause feature, they will be able to either pick up the stream from where they left off or go straight to the real time transmission.

Both options can also be viewed simultaneously via Flumotion’s player, which will also display information during the match and provide interactive features, such as allowing users to place bets.

Last month Flumotion, which is based in Barcelona, announced a new release of the stable 0.6 branch of the Flumotion Streaming Server which fixed a few minor bugs.
