UK retailers quick to cut PSP Go price

Sony’s freshly launched PSP Go has been met with somewhat mixed reactions for a number of reasons.

Slow download times and fiddly controls for example, although one of the more simple major sticking points for some has been the rather top-heavy price of the portable.

And it seems that price tag is something retailers are keen to swiftly cut from the recommended retail of £225 in order to encourage sales.

As usual, the really keen fans who bought on day one get the short end of the stick… (did someone cough “Xbox” at the back there?)

Amazon, Play.com, HMV and GAME have all marked the console down to the £199 mark after less than a week on sale.

Some other major retailers are maintaining the price nearer retail, for example Tesco is sticking at £220.

Of course, the golden question is what sort of price the PSP Go will be available for after Christmas?

Remember, you don`t own “your” games, you can`t swap “your” games with friends and can`t resell “your” games…. but Sony will charge you the same price as a disc …… ohhhh and don`t upset Sony, by writing something on a forum they don`t like, then they will just cancel your account and your won`t have any access to “your” games …… just die Sony, just DIE …..
