Pace sets up lab in India

The Saltaire based set top box manufacturer is to open a facility in India that will help students prepare for work in the industry after they finish at university.

This will be the first embedded system lab at the RV College of Engineering in Bangalore.

The lab can be used by both undergraduate and graduate students in the fields of Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Science and Information Sciences.

It allows students to work on ideas and projects that could find their way into the next generation of set top boxes.

One of the obvious areas for students to get involved in is high definition TV as this is the immediate future for set top boxes.

What happens beyond that could be in the hands of the students starting at the lab.
