
VIVA will be coming to the Sky+ electronic programme guide later on this month where it will replace the MTV Channel’s TMF.
The channel will appear on Sky TV, Sky Ireland, UPC as well as Freeview and Virgin Media on the 26th October.
VIVA is owned and operated by MTV Networks UK and Ireland and this new channel will be providing music and entertainment programming such as the fourth series of “The Hills”.
The channel is far removed from the usual music channels operated by MTV, as VIVA will be showing a wide range of content such a films and TV shows from the US such as: Two And A Half Men, South Park and Hulk Hogan’s Celebrity Wrestling.
VIVA was originally launched in Germany in 1993, but was taken over by the MTV network in 2004.
