Social networking sites FaceBook and MySpace appear to be negotiating a deal to share content.
According to a report in The Telegraph, the deal could see MySpace supplying video and music content to FaceBook via its Connect platform.
Sheryl Sandberg, Facebook’s COO, told The Telegraph: “Facebook is focussing on building the best technology which helps people share content, while at MySpace they are focussing on a more content-led strategy. We would like to have their content, as we already do with many other sites, shared across our network because it is good for our users.”
MySpace’s Chief Executive, Owen Van Natta, confirmed that the two companies are discussing a potential partnership.
