The Golden Joystick awards, the video game accolades voted for by the gaming public, have crowned post-apocalyptic shooter/rpg Fallout 3 as the ultimate game of the year.
The level of voting was impressively high, with well over a million gamers making their opinions known.
Call of Duty did very well too, picking up Nintendo game of the year and best multiplayer for Call of Duty: World At War. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 scooped the “one to watch” award, as well.
The PlayStation game of the year was Killzone 2, whereas Gears of War 2 was the victor on the Xbox.
PC game of the year went to Fallout 3, and online game of the year was zombie-fest Left 4 Dead.
It all makes for a timely reminder to fire up Fallout 3 again, we’ve not played it for quite some time…
