Google launches OneBox service

The search giant Google is getting into the online music business with the launch of its OneBox service.

The music search business helps users find and buy music online and in order to provide this service Google has partnered with some of the industry’s finest such as Lala, iLike, Pandora, Imeem and Rhapsody, to provide a free steaming service.

Users search for the required content and the response will be a list of tracks with a play button alongside each one.

When the user presses the button a music player will load and the track will play.

As well as being able to listen to the tracks, users will also have the option to by the MP3 version.

This service is currently online in the US, but Google is looking for international partners to provide the service elsewhere.
