Oranges see customers numbers fall

With some internet service providers gaining new customers there has to be an ISP that is losing out, and it looks like Orange UK is one such firm.

The number of customers using the Orange UK service has fallen to 899,000.

At the same time last year the Orange UK’s customer base stood at 1.023 million, which is a fall of just over twelve per cent – a significant figure over a year.

On the other hand, customers subscribing to the Orange mobile broadband service are showing signs of bucking the trend with the customer base currently standing at 4.717 million, which is an increase of sixty four per cent.

The picture is not much different for the parent company of Orange UK, France Telecom, which is reporting third quarter profits down by just over eight per cent.
