Saturday is kill a zombie day

To many kids around the world tomorrow is Halloween and it is a licence to go around terrorising the neighbours.

However, for the grown-ups, Halloween this year could mean going out into the big world and killing a few zombies.

The 31st October has officially been declared “Kill a Zombie Day”

This is a marketing initiative being set up by the security firm Sophos to encourage computer users around the world to come out and fight against the growing number of zombie computers on the internet.

In order to kill a zombie computer users are being encouraged to download a free trial version of the Sophos software which will scan the computer and, if has been hijacked, will remove the offending virus and kill that zombie machine.
