Ingate Systems announces new E-SBC for SIP
by Jan Harris
Ingate Systems has introduced the IX78 Enterprise Session Border Controller (E-SBC) from its sister company Inertex Data AB.
The IX78 E-SBC allows service providers to securely launch large-scale SIP trunk services, taking Unified Communications safely beyond the protected enterprise network
The company claims that it accelerates SIP service deployment because it solves interoperability issues and NAT and firewall traversal problems between the service provider and the large number of SIP-enabled PBXs on the market.
It achieves interoperability by normalising SIP signaling between SIP trunk service and the SIP-enabled PBXs.
Steven Johnson, President, Ingate Systems said: “Service providers are offering SIP trunks to increase ROI on VoIP installations, quickly.
“The IX78 E-SBC offers them a cost-effective solution designed specifically for these kinds of mass deployments.”
