Opal, the business-to-business division of The TalkTalk Group, has acquired West Midlands-based telecoms company UK Telco, continuing its recent growth.

Opal has been working with UK Telco, a specialised supplier to independent switchless resellers, for eight years.

Andy Hollingworth, Opal’s Director of Wholesale said: “Opal is happy to announce the acquisition of UK Telco.

“This is another example of Opal acquiring a partner where we have built really strong long term relationship.

“Importantly when it was the right time for the owners to exit, Opal was able to quickly agree a deal, provide a good home for the customer base and continue to offer support to UK Telco’s channel partners.”

Following the TalkTalk Group’s recent acquisition of Tiscali UK, Opal doubled in size through the integration of 130,000 new business customers.
