Toshiba offers “lolly for laptops” trade-in scheme

Never mind cash for clunkers, now you can get lolly for your laptop by trading in your old model when you purchase a new Windows 7 laptop from Toshiba.

“Don’t bin it, trade it” the Toshiba website proclaims, and it will give you a trade-in valuation on your specific make and model which could be up to £150.

Toshiba also assures users of the scheme that any data on old laptops will be securely deleted.

The offer will run until the end of January 2010, at which time you’ll have to revert to throwing your old laptop in the bin (well, hopefully we’re all green savvy enough these days to at least take it down to the local recycling depot).
