World’s First IPTV Managed Cloud Service announced
by Janet Harris
MBO Video and 180SQUARED have announced Cirrus Managed Cloud Solutions which allows multiple users to share an IPTV Middleware platform, while keeping each user’s back-end systems separate and secure.
It is 180SQUARED’s v.Unison Solution Set which allows MBO Video to share its IPTV Middleware Platform with other entities.
Gene Baldwin of MBO Video LLC said: “By sharing the infrastructure and costs, IPTV becomes a much more viable and competitive product offering”.
The Cirrus Managed Cloud Solution is based on Microsoft Mediaroom.
It allows providers to offer applications designed to differentiate their IPTV service, such as onscreen Caller ID, remote PVR scheduling, and Whole Home PVR.
180Squared recently revealed plans to expand support beyond Microsoft Mediaroom, after several customers requested compatibility with Cisco’s platform.
