There has always been some sort of divide between the North and the South of the UK, but this time the subject of the divide is broadband penetration.
According to research carried out by Point Topic, it seems that the North South divide is well truly alive even though the actual line between the north and the south may slightly differ.
In this case, the line is drawn from the Bristol Channel across to the Wash; the report shows that there are sixty eight cities and towns with a high penetration of broadband. However, it seems that there are only three that appear above the line.
If this is turned around, then there are sixty places where there is a low broadband penetration and yet only six of these appear below the dividing line.
