Study of smartphone owners and relationships

A survey of smartphone owners has brought to light some interesting relationship facts.

Shopping website Retrevo conducted the study, which surveyed 450 iPhone and Blackberry owners to try and determine their dating habits, amongst other things.

One of the most telling – and superficial – findings was that 35% of iPhone owners would find it a turn-off if a potential partner had an old, out-of-date phone (or indeed any old gadgets).

Whatever happened to retro chic?

A third of iPhone users admitted to texting or emailing someone to break up with them (with 22% of Blackberry owners, who are evidently a slightly more sensitive bunch). Surely there’s an app to do this for you, by now?

20% of iPhone users also admitted to viewing porn on their phone (along with 12% of Blackberry owners).

Was there any correlation between those breaking up via text and watching porn? Most likely, although that wasn’t commented on.
