The revised NGA broadband map

It has been a while since next generation broadband services first started to be used in the UK and yet consumers still wait for this service to come to their area.

According to a map produced by the broadband analysts Point Topic, next generation access (NGA) demand may not be met.

The map has been overlaid onto the BT planned rollout map and it shows that the BT plan is going fall short of demand, especially in urban areas where the concentration of users is a lot higher.

What this means for the householder and small business owner is that even though they may be located in a city or town, this does not necessarily guarantee that next gen broadband will be available when it is eventually rolled out.
