There will always be home broadband
by David Allen

Talk of the death of fixed line broadband has been greatly exaggerated according to broadband.co.uk.
There are many reports and surveys around that claim the growth in mobile broadband will overtake that of fixed line broadband, but this will not mean that fixed line broadband will become obsolete.
Mobile broadband can be a great service, but issues with coverage and speeds will mean that fixed line broadband is going to be the first choice for many households and indeed small businesses too.
Therefore, it seems that mobile broadband is not going to replace fixed line broadband for time being, but for people that travel a lot and for students it could be a good option.
However, home use with VoD, VoIP and just general surfing will be fixed line territory for the time being.
