BBC releases the Freeview HD schedule
by David Allen

The BBC has finally released the schedule for the roll out of Freeview HD services and it seems that the goal is to aim for 98.5 per cent HD coverage for the UK by 2012.
However, initially the rollout will involve Birmingham, Bradford, Glasgow, Leeds, London and Newcastle.
These are the prime locations which will receive the Freeview HD service by the end of March next year.
The changes begin to take place on the 2nd December with the Winter Hill transmitter group, which covers the North West.
This is a normal digital switchover date, but the HD addition will take place too.
The BBC is also aiming for fifty per cent of the UK to be able to watch the World Cup in HD on the Freeview service in June next year.
