GIPS simplifies VoIP app development for Android mobiles

Global IP Solutions (GIPS) has launched ‘GIPS VoiceEngine Mobile’ which will allow mobile application developers to build VoIP-enabled clients for Android handsets.

The apps will be able to offer HD voice, as well as addressing IP network issues such as delay, jitter, packet loss, bandwidth constraints, noise and echo.

Roar Hagen, GIPS’ Chief Technology Officer said: “Today, mobile users desire a smartphone that offers a unique experience, which includes the ability to have great quality communication.

“With GIPS engineering expertise, developers can quickly and effectively build their applications enabling them to concentrate on their core business.”

Nimbuzz will be the first to Offer HD Voice through VoIP on Android Using GIPS VoiceEngine Mobile.

Evert-Jaap Lugt, the CEO of Nimbuzz said: “With the addition of high-quality HD Voice to our free IM and chat functions, thousands of new and existing Nimbuzz users on Android will now be able to enjoy a complete communications and messaging service in one.”

GIPs recently announced that its VideoEngine will be deployed by Israel-based Outsmart, inside its Plug ‘n Talk softphone.

VideoEngine will help ensure reliable high-quality voice and video.

  1. Nimbuzz Out is almost the clone of Skype out, Truphone or Vopium VoIP service. VoIP calls through Nimbuzz will still be little expensive as compare to skype, Vopium or Truphone.
