The latest rumour regarding Apple‘s tablet is that its projected launch date has been pushed back from early next year to the second half of 2010.
According to a DigiTimes report, it’s believed the cause of this delay is the decision to use an OLED screen on the higher end model.
It will boast a 9.7 inch OLED display made by LG, apparently, whereas the lesser specced tablet will use a 10.6 inch TFT LCD panel.
DigiTimes also quoted sources estimating that the OLED tablet could retail at as much as $2,000. Ouch.
