Sony confirms PlayStation Network will remain free

So more rumours have been flying around, this time about PSN and whether Sony might start charging for its service like Xbox Live.

The rumours were based on a slide from a Sony presentation which mentioned PSN and a “new revenue stream from subscription”.

However, TechRadar has had word from Sony that this referred to potential charges for premium content.

“The core offering will continue to remain free,” a spokesman informed TechRadar.
