Wireless broadband the way to go

November 19, 2009

It seems that wireless broadband could be the answer to the government’s commitment to provide the entire UK with access to a broadband connection.

According to Ruckus Wireless, its product, known as wireless broadband access (WBA), offers a cost effective way of delivering broadband data services to urban developments.

What will be of interest is the cost effectiveness of the system as it provides a reliable service at the lowest cost per bit, meaning that this service is able to cope with demand for high speed data in a way that WiMAX simply cannot.

This could be something that the government could consider when thinking about delivering high speed services to communities, and even rural developments that require high speed broadband services at a price that is reasonable.
