Switzerland-based IPTV service, Bluewin TV has been rebranded as Swisscom TV, as part of efforts to boost the Swisscom brand.
Since Swisscom’s IPTV service was launched in 2006 it has attracted over 200,000 customers, with the number doubling in the last year.
Swisscom TV offers around 140 TV channels, 30 radio stations, a video library, live sports and 30 channels provided by pay-TV operator Teleclub.
Swisscom AG achieved 9% profits growth in the third quarter to 513 million Swiss francs, compared with 470 million Swiss francs in the 2008 third quarter.
The company benefited from lower subsidies for cell phone handsets in the domestic market.
The result was higher than analyst’s expectations.
