It seems that BT will be adding high definition TV services to its next generation of set top boxes.
This service will be provided through Freeview HD, which will be rolling out around the UK next year and will include HD channels from the BBC, ITV and Channel Four.
There are no firm dates for the launch of this brand new equipment, in fact according to the Head of Programming at BT, Michael Barry, this is very much still a work in progress and no firm plans or launch dates can yet be given.
Viewers interested in receiving Freeview HD will need to have the right equipment.
This should be an HD ready TV and a Freeview HD set top box that is using DVB T2 tuners.
