Italians sign up to Team Sky

Team Sky, like the channels that it represents, is growing strong and with an international flavour too.

The signing of two Italian riders, Dario Cioni and Davide Vigano, takes the teams total to twenty four riders, all of which will be meeting up at the Team Sky HQ in Manchester.

Not only is the master stroke to take over cycling, how else could BSkyB get the Sky logo and advertising onto the BBC.

However, this has surely happened, as at every event the athletes wear Sky clad clothing and when they are interviewed the word Sky appears across the screens of viewers.

Of course Team Sky has done a lot for cycling in the UK and will continue to do so in the future, but is this sport, marketing or little bit of both!
