
NetDev Ltd has announced a Conference Controller widget for the iPhone that allows users to manage enterprise conferencing sessions from the handset
The company plans to expand the widget to other brands of smartphone.
John Lodsdon, CEO of Net Dev Ltd said: “Audio conferencing is a critical business application, but in today’s mobile world people want to manage their conference sessions with more convenience, not just from their desk phone, but also from their iPhone or smartphone.”
The widget allows users of NetDev’s advanced CIE conferencing platform to initiate, manage and terminate sessions from an intuitive application on their iPhone, offering seamless enterprise integration.
In a separate piece of news, security firm Sophos warned that iPhones in the Netherlands are being affected by a new worm, called ‘Duh’ or ‘Ikee.B’ by researchers.
Users visiting online bank ING through iPhones that have been jailbroken are being redirected to an fake site by the worm, leaving them vulnerable to attack.
