Spotify has made its music streaming service available on the Symbian platform.

That means many Nokia, Samsung and Sony Ericsson phone owners will be able to enjoy access to Spotify’s four million songs.

The service will work exactly as it already does on the iPhone, although you’ll need to subscribe to the premium service (which is £9.99 per month).

Spotify said on its blog: “Today’s release means that Spotify Mobile is now available on millions more phones, such as the Nokia 6220 Classic, E71 and 5800 XpressMusic models.”

“We hope everyone enjoys this early Christmas present!”

Well, it certainly beats socks. For the full list of phones which are supported, click on over to: www.spotify.com/en/mobile/symbian
