Emblaze Mobile unveils the First Else

NetDev launches iPhone conferencing app
Emblaze Mobile has changed the emphasis on its new handset, the First Else, so that it isn’t simply a phone with other applications tagged on.

Instead, Emblaze has created an ‘application centred’ device where other functions such as GPS and camera, are given the same importance as the phone.

In practice this means that the user will have control over which function takes precedence.

If a call interrupts a game, for example, the user press a button to ask the caller to indicate if the call is urgent or can wait a moment.

The 5Mp camera is said to be as good as a canon, while the Assisted GPS app provides turn-by-turn instructions.

The Linux phone has its own sPlay UI to give users easy access to phone, media and diary features.
