Bournemouth has the fastest broadband

According to a recent study, it seems that broadband users from Bournemouth are experiencing some of the fastest broadband speeds in the UK.

The research, carried out by top10-broadband.co.uk, took data provided by its users to compile a comprehensive list of broadband speeds around the UK, and Bournemouth come out with an average speed of 8.06 Mbps.

It was Portsmouth that came in with a broadband connection speed of 7.82 Mbps and Dudley offers residents 7.03 Mbps.

Surprisingly, the major cities such as London, Manchester and Birmingham, did not seem to do so well, with London coming in at fifteenth place with an average broadband, speed of 6.63 Mbps.

Of course, Bournemouth has the added benefit of being one of the places where fibre through the sewers is provided by H2O.
