Apple iTunes tagging arrives on UK radio

Darren Allan

iPod Nano owners will be pleased to hear that Absolute Radio has become the first station in Europe to facilitate iTunes tagging.

This means that if you’re listening to the station on your Nano and hear a song you like, you can choose to tag it.

Then the next time you pay a visit to iTunes, any tagged songs will pop up ready for purchase.

No more worrying about what a good song was called when the DJ doesn’t mention the artist or track name after it has finished.

Not that you’re likely to hear a good song on mainstream radio these days, but that’s another story…

Obviously as it’s only one radio station at the moment, it’s nothing to get massively excited about yet.

But hopefully others will follow Absolute Radio’s lead.
