
If we’re after a job, most of us hunt through the ads section of the paper and online employment sites, then send out some CVs.
However, there are alternatives to the traditional methods. Such as writing a worm and releasing it on unsuspecting “jail-broken” iPhone users.
Yes, the Australian author of the iPhone‘s first worm, Ikee, has managed to land himself a job with a company that develops iPhone apps.
Ikee didn’t carry a serious payload – just a picture of Rik Astley (although that does have some terror value).
However, according to security experts it laid the groundwork for a more dangerous iPhone worm, “Duh”, which targets online banking users.
He isn’t the first, and doubtless won’t be the last hacker to land a position via the notoriety of his actions.

Why exactly did they offer him a job? He didn’t create the worm. He simply used the source file released by the original developers of the worm. Within a month or two of him starting this job, he’ll be fired, when they realise he actually can’t do anything.
