Good news for Motorola fans who are awaiting the release of the Milestone, or Droid as it’s known in the States.
As we reported at the beginning of the month, the phone was launching in Germany, but details of the UK release remained unconfirmed.
While nothing concrete has emerged yet, several UK online retailers have put the Milestone up on their sites for pre-order.
The “iPhone killer” handset might be out in the first week of December, if the date on one site is to be believed.
The sim-free price is around the £450 mark. For that money you’ll get a 3.7 inch display, sliding Qwerty keyboard, 5 megapixel camera, 16GB of memory plus wi-fi and 3G.
We still don’t like the name, though. Milestone… It sounds rather like millstone to us; something that will drag you down. The Droid is a far snappier moniker.
