Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is to crack down on PC players who cheat online at the game.
According to Infinity Ward’s Community Manager Robert Bowling on Twitter, 2500 cheaters will be banned today.
He tweeted: “The Steam ban hammer is coming down on about 2500 confirmed #MW2 cheaters on PC today.”
Whether 2500 is a large proportion of the cheats out there, we’re not sure. But it’s a good start.
In other Modern Warfare 2 news, Gamesindustry.biz reports that ELSPA has given the X360 game a diamond sales award. Meaning it has shifted more than a million copies on that format alone.
Wonder if this includes “by internet address” or if they just ban steam user names. Still easy to get around if it is the latter.

well i just walked into a server and someone hacked it so ever player had a auto nade unlimited ammo and so on i guess they figured if they wr going to cheat everyone should cheat so gay!!!!
they made a crap load of money on this game so lets keep the hackers out!!!
this game is amazing and sometimes stupid people like to ruin it.
