The provision of broadband services in Scotland and in particular the more rural areas of Scotland, has been a talking point for some time and yet the situation in rural areas has hardly changed, while in the cities and larger towns broadband connections speeds are increasing.
Now, a leading member of the Scottish Parliament, Peter Peacock, is calling on the funds made available to provide Scotland with better broadband services to be increased by a massive £15 million.
Apparently the government is expecting to get a refund from the EU because of the exchange rates between the pound and the euro.
The MSP believes that this money could provide the funding required to get those remote areas of Scotland online once and for all.
